Brief Bio
In his 20s, he worked on political campaigns with the country’s preeminent strategist. In his 30s, he was a sports agent to athletes, sportscasters, Spuds MacKenzie, and brought Russian hockey players to West Point and Mississippi. In his 40s, he co-founded a creative design studio that specialized in handmade beautiful baseballs coveted by business titans and bar mitzvah boys. In his 50s, he opened a unique gallery/shop/community event space on a Greenwich Village side street that became known around the globe. Now, in his 60s, he’s working on “The Memory of America” and other multimedia art projects. Jay Goldberg lives in NYC, the city where he was born.

Items featured in retail stores, catalogs, art galleries and museums throughout world, such as Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Museum of Arts and Design, Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sundance, Colette Paris, Paul Smith.

Hosted nearly 200 intimate events in Greenwich Village NYC landmark building and nurtured loyal community of baseball aficionados. Events featured artists, authors, Pulitzer Prize-winners, team owners, Hall of Famers, and most interesting folks in baseball. Business garnered extensive media coverage, including features in Wall Street Journal, Crain’s New York Business, Forbes, and WNYC. Also raised thousands of dollars for such charitable partners as Viscardi Center, Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research, and Made Visible Foundation. After closing brick-and-mortar shop/gallery in Autumn 2018, Bergino Baseball Clubhouse brand continues with podcast series and events in partnership with venues throughout NYC and across country.

Founded independent athlete representation and sports marketing firm. Additionally, managed and promoted all aspects of innovative "Russians Are Coming" and "Russian Tour-nado I and II" Hockey Tours, which featured first-ever games by post-Soviet era Russian team at US Military Academy West Point, as well as arenas in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
