The conversations occurred across the city — a poet in a living room; a newspaper publisher in a parking lot; a gallery curator in a stairwell; a university president at a picnic table; a baseball scout in a basement…
All interviews transpired throughout the three month Artist Residency, with a focus on the diverse Manchester community.
Conducted face-to-face, every interview was recorded using only an iPhone 5s.
Those 4 inch, 4 ounce iPhone individual interviews became this 6,000 square foot community multimedia Exhibition / Installation featuring 32 stories...

• Interactive Installation of Collective Memory
• The community controls which story is projected
• Silent, complete, individual narrative stories, slowly revealed as if written on a typewriter

• Silent video loop projection of “related" excerpt lines from interviews conducted throughout the Artist Residency
Brick Powdered Memories
• Think back to the first time you remember going to a baseball game. Can be either a Major League or Minor League ballgame
• Take a brick
• Select any color of chalk you desire and write one of the following on the smooth side of the brick…
• The ballpark name (or city) from that first memory or The year of that first ballgame memory or Whom you went with to that ballgame
• A word, a year, or a person… handwritten on a brick with chalk. A reflection on memory.
